Los Angeles County has experienced increases in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations every summer over the past three years. Data from the last four weeks has shown a rise in the number of reported positive COVID-19 cases. With traveling and gatherings increasing during summer, protection from COVID infection remains important as new variants have begun to circulate nationwide. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health reminds residents to take common-sense precautions to avoid becoming ill with COVID, especially residents who are at an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID.
Department Leadership is encouraging COVID-19 antigen test requests from you and your partners to help reduce transmission this summer. To ensure delivery ahead of upcoming gatherings and to allow time for distribution to the community, it is recommended you and your partners request tests as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind that it takes up to two weeks for tests to be delivered. COVID tests can be requested through our survey here or the link in the attached FAQ. The FAQ can also be shared with partners, as it provides more information about submitting test requests and contains the survey link.
In addition to antigen tests, LAC DPH is continuing to assist the community with COVID-19 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) needs, such as gloves and masks. PPE requests can be submitted as frequently as needed through our survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XRRJPGN
