The Countywide AAIMM Policy and Advocacy workgroup is thrilled to announce that applications for the MotherBoard are now LIVE. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact on maternal health and black infant well-being in Los Angeles County. They encourage you to share this opportunity far and wide with eligible individuals and organizations working with Black mothers and babies.
About the MotherBoard: The MotherBoard is a unique advisory council consisting of 11 Black mothers in Los Angeles County who unite to advocate for improved policies concerning Black maternal and infant health. As a member, you'll dedicate one year to this vital cause, investing 5 to 10 hours monthly in service planning areas. Beyond advocacy, you'll receive comprehensive training, resources, and support to enhance your leadership skills and understanding of policy-making and advocacy.
Key Highlights:
Opportunity to address maternal and infant health disparities
Collaboration with systems leaders, community organizations, and fellow Black mothers to drive positive change
Gain tools and knowledge to create a more equitable system of care for Black families.
Participants will receive up to $9,000 for their service on the MotherBoard
