Social Determinants of Health: Improving Outcomes Through our Cultures, Communities, and Connections Virtual Roundtable
In honor of National Minority Health Month 2024, the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) invites you to join us for a virtual roundtable to learn more about social determinants of health:
On Tuesday April 30, 2024, 1:00 – 2:00 pm ET, OMH will convene a virtual roundtable to discuss the ways in which the conditions of the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age (known as social determinants of health, or SDOH) affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks.
The discussion will also explore strategies and interventions to improve health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority populations and American Indian/Alaska Native communities. Audience members will be encouraged to submit questions for a 10-minute Q&A session at the end of the convening.
When: Tuesday April 30, 2024: 1:00pm-2:00pm.
